Dr. Melissa Wasserman (AKA Dr. Meli) is a UCLA-trained, licensed clinical psychologist specializing in intergenerational trauma, military & veteran behavioral health and trauma related disorders. As a Jewish and Yaqui psychologist, she is passionate about advocating for those who have been impacted by intergenerational trauma and soul wounds. She has 10+ years experience treating adults, couples, and families who have experienced traumatic stress. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Her areas of scholarship primarily include intergenerational trauma in Holocaust survivors, resilience, and military behavioral health. Dr. Meli is the granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors and is an active Board Member of If You Heard What I Heard.
